A Vision for Inclusive Growth in Basildon
A community event was held to explore the future of Basildon, bringing together residents, educators and local organisations to discuss how long-term planning, education, wellbeing and infrastructure can support inclusive growth across the town.
The event provided an opportunity to consider the role of the Local Plan in supporting sustainable development, wellbeing and opportunity for local communities. Discussions focused on how growth can be managed in a way that benefits residents while strengthening community connections and improving quality of life.
Contributions from a local wellness and fitness centre and a specialist SEN school helped to highlight the importance of health, wellbeing and inclusive education in shaping a thriving and accessible community.
The event encouraged the sharing of information, the exchange of perspectives and constructive discussion about how Basildon can continue to grow in a way that is sustainable, inclusive and beneficial for all members of the community.
